Why Your Baby Needs a Bento Box for School Lunch

Quick answer

A bento box for kids solves common school lunch struggles: messy spills, hard-to-open containers, and worries about food safety. The Thinkbaby Bento Box is a top choice because it's BPA-free, easy for little hands to open and close, and creates an airtight seal.

Diagnosing lunchtime problems

• Symptom: Your child struggles to open their lunch container, or food spills everywhere. A container with easy-to-clasp sides, like the Thinkbaby Bento Box, solves this.
• Likely cause: Standard containers have tight, hard-to-grip lids not designed for small hands.
• Corrective action: Switch to a bento box with a simple clasp mechanism and airtight seal. Pack foods in separate compartments to keep them organized. Test the clasp yourself before buying—make sure your child can open it independently.
• When to choose another option: If your child needs a fully insulated container for hot meals, a thermos-style lunch box may be a better fit. Bento boxes are best for cold or room-temperature foods. For hot lunches, look for a vacuum-insulated container instead.
